You are right about the price but this is only because all the distribution is all done by Makie Designs who will not sell anything as trade unless you are a dealer where as PD Used to sell drivers to anyone providing they were a company. which is a much better way of doing business!
If you could find a way in to the distribution chain there would be hardly any difference in cost!!
If you do find a way in let me know as Makie will not sell new units to us and we are the biggest GAE user in the UK and its all powered by RCF!!

PD has recently been bought by Eminence Europe. They've completely revamped the factory and production techniques which should mean that PD products start getting the recognistion they have always been looking for.

i've been following the discussion with interest, but having heard them i want to get some pd 1850s, but last time we were trying to buy some the company was going out of business and had none left - are they avaialable now?

Just dont pay more than £280 for the pd1850s when you buy 10 like i did you could lose £250 if you buy from the wrong distributer
