Kentucky Kandi
Posted by Angel Cho on Monday January 26, @04:42AM

I'm in Kentucky and yes there is a rave scene here. I started not too long ago but long enough to have seen and been through the true party/kandi kidds and PLURR. We have alot of rave clubs here and every weekend you'd see all the cute ass kandi kidd's sporting their kandi and trading and everyone's having a good time :) I still go to these clubs now and the scene has completely died. My best friend ashley and I are about the only true kandi kids that still go to these clubs decked out in rave gear and clothed in kandi. It's sad... we've died out like a species and more than 75% of these kids at the clubs have never even heard of PLURR! Even those who wear kandi. I was approached by a skanky nobody last weekend clubbing and was asked if i needed any rolls. I was surprised and pissed b/c this guy didnt' know me first of all and told him , "It's not about the drugs." He looked at me dumbfoundedly and said what do you mean? i was like OMG he said he didn't get it and just walked away. HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN? I cannot beleive there are people out there who think that it's all about the drugs. It's about the Music and dance. There are not many dancers left and you all knwo this. The dancers are the heartbeat of the rave scene. Without the heartbeat and rhythm the body dies....... so have we. I still hope and pray that the rave scene will get better b/c it makes me sad and makes me cry to see it go this way. But what can we do really? The drugs have overtaken newbies and hopefully they'll see the truth. Rave is my lifestyle and always will be... in fact my best friend and I are getting PLURR tattoos! we should all get them in loving memory of good PLURR times and more times to come b/c it will rise again b/c there still are people like us that care.... I love you all! PLURR -Angel Cho
