EVENTS Posted by NICKY on Sunday 27 February 2005, 09:47PM

HIYA. JUST WANTED TO SAY THAT I STUMBLED ACROSS THIS SITE BY ACCIDENT, ANA AM AMAZED TO FINALLY FIND SOMEONE WHO APPRECIATES THE CLUB LOCO SCENE. I WAS A HUGE FAN OF HERESY AND AUBERGINE NIGHTS AT LOCO, MANY MOONS AGO, AND WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM ANYONE WHO WAS A REGULAR IN LOCO FROM ABOUT 1998-2000

Nicky, there's a key on your keyboard with "Caps Lock" written on it, try pressing it again so your posts don't look so fuckwit-like ;-)

I left the country due to keeping all your chins up on a crazy nights.

Bristol in those days
by misspentbrizzleyouth on Friday 13 April 2007 @01:21PM
Hi, I was there... Like you Nicky found this by accident. Don't suppose anyone else is still out there but you never know. Aubergine / Heresy were huge, I remember the scene was pretty quiet at the time. Lakota had gone really hardcore and was shut most of the time anyway cos someone got stabbed every five minutes or the ceiling had fallen in or something. I particularly remember an immense set at Loco by Blu Peter. Also the downstairs corridor had its own weather system (fog) in the winter months. Getting pepper sprayed while queueing outside by someone driving past sticks in the mind too...a bloody interesting start to that night. It was a great venue, so varied in such a small space.

Infamous/Heresy DJ speaks...
by Guy Denning on Thursday 24 May 2007 @10:43PM
I used to dj at Infamous/Heresy - a twelve hour, amphetamine powered set in the chill-out room every month (more or less). It was one of the best atmospheres going - and then the alcohol replaced the water and it all went pear-shaped. But I made some good mates out of it that I still stay in touch with (Motorboy and some of the cube crowd). And wasn't the crowd in there the best looking crowd in Bristol. Getting hassled every month by some geezer who was meant to under curfew but insisted on his monthly request list - obsessed with 'Compost Records'... The gorgeous short-haired blonde girl, the DS trying to blend - ha ha... Bring it back...

OMG - 2 times at the Maze!
by Chris on Thursday 04 October 2007 @11:48PM
I went to the maze three times (twice aubergine and once fruity antics i think?) what a place! would have liked to have gone more, but living in Swansea is rubbish. Really vivid memories of a pub with all brass fixings/french horns opposite with loads of old men drinking and us right off our chomps. Whats in the club now? Anyone there when the toilets flooded and firemen were walking around? Was there an after cafe called Blue or something?

Infamous/Heresy
by JamesQ on Tuesday 30 March 2010 @01:16PM
I set up Infamous and Heresy with Ben Davies (RIP). Nice to know people still think about the days. I DJ'ed the mad Noom and Eve records tunes from 6-8am
Blu Peter played on our launch night. It was a great laugh and the first club to take advantage of Bristol's 24 hour licence.
Thanks to all the nutters who turned up at 4am to rock it. Especially the cute blond girl from somewhere near Malmesbury, I wish I'd taken up your offer to go to The Farm and chill out ;-)

Heresy
by Mike C on Wednesday 26 May 2010 @12:35PM
Ha ha just stumbled on this whilst searching for clubs in Bristol. I used to go to the Heresy nights/mornings in the summer of 99, they were awesome. I remember still wanting to dance when the DJ shut shop and walking out of the club into broad daylight.

I left Bristol not long after and moved to Cardiff, since then I've never found anything that comes up to the mark.

Great Days...
