legal action against HTFR?
Posted by Joćo Marques on Friday May 22, @06:28PM

I am an online shopper for more than 10 years. I use similar websites like musicstore or recordcase.de and never had a problem. I wanted to try a UK website, because of the recent GBP alteration and decided to try HTFR, which seemed very proffessional.

I had exactly the same problem! I can now see I'm dealing with thieves. Firstly, they made me send them a whole lot of documents as proof of id "for my security" and to "avoid fraudolent behaviours". I was very suspicious about this and argue with them about it. They told me that it would be ok if I paid in advance. I was really stupid to pay more than 1600gbp wiring the money directly and a week later they asked me for more money. When I refused, they told me they didn't have all the items in stock and sent me part of them... I received part of the order but the most valuable items didn't arrive. I have been trying to make them send the rest of the order, but they don't even reply to my emails or phone calls. It's been sometime now since I got the last reply and I've asked for a refund - an appeal in vain.

Now I'm considering taking legal action against them, since I still don't have the items nor the money. Is anyone with me on this? I don't live in the UK, but I'm willing to go there if needed. They need to be taught not to mess with people like this again.
