It depends on what you're after.

For my needs (drum n bass) I go for Red Eye Records and Chemical records.

Also check out Juno, and Groovetech.

I usually go to www.ukvinylrecords.co.uk. They have a very easy to use website. Searching for a particular tune is very simple. They specialise in garage, trance, techno, tribal, progressive, US and European tunes. You can listen to a sample before you buy and they provide secure online ordering. I have ordered from them quite a few times and I am impressed with the quick professional service they offer.

HTFR vs ukvinylrecords
by LJP on Sunday 25 January 2004 @02:22AM
I've had a few little problems with HTFR- Records I haven't ordered/paid for arriving through the post (not such a bad thing but most of them I haven't liked, and I'm too nice to keep them...), charging me multiple times for the same order (definitely a bad thing, but I've ALWAYS had my card re-credited...), tatty sleeves (the records are always mint though...)- I'll definitely continue to use them because I still consider myself to be a satisfied customer, BUT...
www.ukvinylrecords.co.uk is fucking quality...

NO they are still in business.
I bought a couple of tunes a bit earlier. Apparently they were upgrading there systems and thats why there site was down.
A TOP quality site which i think will be around for long long time.

US record store
by JASONX on Wednesday 11 April 2007 @02:20AM
I have a small store in Texas that really tries to go of the way for customers. We stock mainly house music from all parts of the world, and certainly have well over 10,000 records in stock and at least 900 online ready for purchase. feel free to check us out online www.rtyperecords.com please under stand that our samples are not up just yet, however ll items are said that are said to be instock are, or for the most part can be ordered.

Hard to Find - finally, a fan!
by Colm on Thursday 08 March 2007 @01:45PM
Hi,
I know a lot of people complain about HTFR so i'd just like to give my own feedback. I have been using them for about 8 years and find them ok. My biggest complaint would be the high prices they sometimes charge.
On the plus side, they have lived up to their name and obtained records for me that i simply could NOT get anywhere else including Ebay. Also, the backorder system is quite good although it can take a while before the record comes back into stock, understandably.
So, i would give them a 7 out of 10!

Colm
