Technics 1210 power switch problem

I have a problem with the on off switch on my technics 1210's...

I took off the cap that is on top of the on off switch, and the thing that goes inside the cap that turns the turntable on and off went inside it and I cant get at it! really bloody fustrating. Please help.

i have a different problem, i managed to pull out the metal shaft along with the black on/off part and now that doesnt go back in properly to turn off/on my turntable
