1210 vs Pint of Water |
by tom
on Saturday 22 September 2007 @02:47PM
hi a couple of weeks ago a mistery perpetrator spilled a pint of water over my decks and a Tascam x9 mixer although the mixer is suprisingly in full working order one of my 1210s is playing silly buggers. The pitch control seems to have lost speed and is about -2 on the pitch control to what the undamaged deck is. Also the green led light on the pich fader is constantly on and now only gets brighter when i set it back to 0. I have cleaned the fader etc to no ovail as I am no electronics expert i was wondering if you could point me in the right direction as to what the problem may be or somone who may be able to fix it. I live in Stroud in glostershire anyone near by would be useful however im obiously willing to travel if needs be! Thanks Tom

antiskate or pivot pin? |
by dj dubtribe
on Tuesday 29 July 2008 @04:05PM
hi i put this problem down to your antiskate not working properly or is set too far over giving force on your arm .
or your top pivot pin on your tone arm this is the small flathead screw on the very top as you look down on your arm being too tight .
but take extra care unscrewing this as you need to unlock the outer nut before you loosen the pivot pin ,then lock the outer nut back up ?
