Came across Nutty Jim's message doing a search so gotta say wassup to the old skool Pulse crew (still got my T-shirt =) yeah boy). Anyone know where Jeff and Lisa are now and what they're up to? Last time I saw Lisa she was bouncing at a club in the West End and Jeff was leaving the country I think.
Anyone still holdin' it down on the radio? Did Lush 107.6 for two years up until it shut down in 2003 - not sure if I could be arsed to do it again, but I never say never I guess. Take it easy....

Hey Skie, yeah not doin too bad. How are you and what are you up to? Can't believe Jeff is a monk but good luck to him - you gotta do what makes you happy. Nutty Jim is about to have a little one his own (or rather his good lady that is =)) and I'm just workin' my arse off at work.
You still playin' out? You playin' anywhere Xmas and New Year?

Skie in Getting Old Shocker! |
by skie

I'm grand ta,I'm not married or have any li'l skies/skie dudes running around. Still doing bits and peices gig wise, thing is the old girl gets tired these days come 2AM! So I usually ask for early bookings and then get given the crappy warm ups. I did Raindance at heaven recently, was ok, I play in the real 0ld skool rooms with 88-90 stuff. I'm still doing radio although I almost gave up last month because I have a full time job that takes a fair amount of mindspace and energy(unlike Total Music) I play anything from Old skool 88 through till 94 hardcore breaks(no four four hardcore) Still love my trancey House but none of that really fast stuff. I still love my uplifting stuff. My mates and I did a small 89 thing recently. What about you?

Silk Cut - Sarcy Bugger |

Cool! A response in less than six months. We're getting good at this aren't we! ;ŹD
Lush 107.6 was my last brush with the pirates. I felt the same towards the end of my stint on Lush so when it shut down I wasn't that bothered. Don't get me wrong I loved it and love the rad but it's also big risk when you've got responsibilties. I sometimes used to think "What the f*ck are you doing?" Climbing through broken fences, through waste ground into a shitty dilapidated house or block (you know score). That and the risk of gettin' busted, losing job, etc. etc... It's okay if you've got sweet FA but nah it's dodgy.
Anyway, still play out with Tony B who's still doing pubs and clubs. He plays everything from 88 house to upfront D&B. I kinda stick to 88 onwards house and garage. Would play more hardcore but doesn't seem to go down as well as D&B. Yeah I love my quality trance (not like some of the cheesy stuff you get on club CDs) and funky house. It's something to do on a weekend instead of veg-ing in front of the box.
Well, if you're spinning anywhere this Chrimbo/New Year let us know and I'll mention it to Tony and Jim. Maybe we'll manage to arrange to pop down but don't hold your breath - things usually turn to rat-shit when we organise something.
Good to read you're well and not well not a casualty, LOL! Chat soon....
