I think you're after "Over You" by Gary Phuckett and Union Gap. I guess Chris Janz must have covered it...

Doug, you're one of Chris's publicists, of course you'll say it's original. And I'm not arguing that Chris' recording is original, but it appears Mr Phuckett has at least written a song of the same name and similar enough content that someone suggested it as the song asked for in the query which originally started off this thread.
For all I know, they could be two totally different songs, since I've never listened to either, however your overly defensive attitude is making me somewhat sceptical.
Perhaps you could clarify whether or not Chris Janz was the original author of the lyrics to the song "Over You" that appears on his album? Can you confirm that these lyrics are totally different from the ones to Gary Phuckett's song of the same name?
Maybe Gary covered Chris? Maybe you could clarify? ;-)

Nope, Chris Janz's "Over You" is a completely different song. And it's Gary PUCKETT and the Union Gap, not Phuckett (or was that an intentional misspelling?).
